Music tourism is a growing trend in China. Live events like concerts and music festivals are more likely to bring in tourists to the host city. In 2023, slightly above a quarter of the music event visitors who traveled for the events turned into tourists of the host city or nearby regions after attending the events. Among the residents from the host city, the impact was much smaller but still a handful of event participants (7.2 percent).
