Types of employee data sent to accounting offices by SMEs in Poland 2024
In 2024, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) most commonly processed employee names, with 86 percent of companies handled this information to accounting and bookkeeping offices in Poland. Followed by phone numbers with 80 percent. Home addresses and PESEL numbers were processed by 75 percent of these companies. Health data related to absences or past illnesses was managed by only 43 percent. Due to inadequate security in many SMEs, hackers were able to easily access valuable personal data needed for criminal activities.
