According to a survey by Rakuten Insight in May 2024, 54 percent of female respondents in Malaysia stated that they participated in live commerce or live shopping events because they wanted to discover new offers or discounts. Meanwhile, around nine percent of Malaysian respondents of both genders reported that live auctions were competitive and exciting.
