According to a survey by Rakuten Insight in May 2024, 80 percent of respondents aged 25 to 34 years in Malaysia said they accessed live commerce or live shopping event through social media platforms to purchase an item. Meanwhile, 38 percent of respondents aged 16 to 24 years reported purchasing through live shopping on e-commerce marketplaces.
