A survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2024, found that approximately 42 percent of respondents in India avoided participating in live shopping events, preferring to shop through official websites or physical stores. Additionally, 20 percent of respondents expressed skepticism toward products promoted during live shopping events. The survey also revealed that women shop through live commerce more frequently than men.
