A survey conducted in Japan in March 2024 showed that more than 49 percent of the respondents perceived online advertisements that cannot be deleted or are difficult to close as unpleasant. By contrast, only 11.4 percent of the respondents stated that they find advertisements within a mail magazine unpleasant. The survey also revealed that there was a considerable difference in perception of video advertisements that can be skipped and those that cannot be skipped.
