Experience of drip pricing on ticketing apps India 2024
In response to a Local Circles survey on ticketing app user experiences in India, just under 60 percent of respondents revealed having frequently found hidden charges apart from taxes when making a purchase on movie or event ticketing platforms that were undisclosed until the conclusion of the transaction. This practice, known as drip pricing, was among 13 other such deceptive practices identified by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) as a violation of consumer rights, misleading advertising, or unfair trade practices.
