According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2024 in Hong Kong, 51 percent of respondents aged 16 to 24 years and 48 percent of those aged 25 to 34 years made apparel purchases through live commerce. In contrast, food and beverages were more popular among respondents aged above 55.

Among a total of 1,119 survey respondents, 694 were women and 425 were men. Furthermore, 73 respondents were between 16 and 24 years old, 329 were between 25 and 34 years old, 382 were between 35 and 44 years old, 208 were between 45 and 54 years old, and 127 were 55 years old or older.
