According to a survey by Rakuten Insight in May 2024, over 40 percent of respondents in South Korea aged 16 to 24 years old and over 55 years of age said they neither watched nor shopped through livestream events within the past 12 months. One in five respondents aged 35 to 44 years stated that they rarely shopped via live commerce.
