According to a survey of U.S. nursing home providers in 2024, seven out of ten nursing homes reported having fewer employees than they did before the COVID-19 pandemic in January 2020. Difficulty recruiting staff remains an issue for these facilities, despite the large majority of providers having increased wages and offered other incentives.
