Change in M&A deal announcements in media sub-industries worldwide H1 2024

According to an analysis of merger and acquisition deal announcements worldwide, in the first half of 2024, the media and entertainment industry saw a surge in the number of such transactions by 82 percent compared to the second half of 2023. The music and podcasting sub-segment M&A activity grew the most in that period, by 157 percent.
