According to a 2024 survey in the Middle East and North Africa region, approximately 60 percent of respondents said that they spent more money during the month of Ramadan. In the same survey, 50 percent of respondents said they look forward to shopping deals, special offers, and promotions during the month. Additionally, 40 percent of those surveyed delayed expensive purchases until Ramadan to avail better deals and discounts.
