During an April 2018 survey of teenagers in the United States, it was found that 45 percent of teens living in households with an income of less than 30,000 U.S. dollars often or sometimes had to do their homework on a cellphone. Mobile phone usage for homework indicates a lack of a reliable computer or internet connection at home.
