North America's steel industry: exports of long steel products 2000-2021
In 2021, North America exported a little more than 4.8 million metric tons of long steel products. This represents an increase of approximately 19 percent compared to the four million metric tons exported a year earlier. During the period given, North American long steel products export peaked at seven million metric tons in 2019.
