Paid net subscriber additions of Netflix worldwide 2014-2022

For the first time in years, Netflix reported a loss in net subscriber additions in the first two quarters of 2022. However, despite the forecast suggesting that the streaming giant will lose further two million subscribers in the second quarter, the loss was lower than expected, at around one million subscribers.
In 2021, Netflix added 18.18 million paying subscribers to its existing subscriber base, down from 36.57 million in the previous year. The company reached over 200 million subscribers worldwide in 2020, and that year marked the highest year-on-year increase in terms of net subscriber additions.
