Revenue of major telecom services companies in the United States 2008-2018

In 2018, AT&T generated about 170 billion U.S. dollars in revenues, which is an increase of almost 50 billion U.S. dollars compared to 2008. Each year since 2008, AT&T has had the highest operating revenue of telecom companies in the United States. T-Mobile's and Verizon's operating revenues have also increased considerably over the past ten years.

Wireless revenue

These major U.S. telecommunication providers generate most of their revenue through the wireless services they offer. Sprint, for example, earns about two-thirds of its revenue from its wireless segment. AT&T and Verizon each made about 42 and 70 percent of their revenue through this segment in 2018, respectively. In T-Mobile's case, all revenue comes from the company's wireless business. While there is growth in terms of revenue for some companies, long-term growth also shows in the total number of mobile wireless subscriber connections in the United States.

Telecom brand value

In terms of telecom brands worldwide, AT&T and Verizon were the two most valuable telecommunication brands worldwide in 2019. The top ten list also included companies, such as Deutsche Telekom, China Mobile, Vodafone, and Orange.
