The median sales price of new homes sold in the United States increased steadily from 1965 to 2022. In April 2022, the median purchase price of a new home was approximately 451,000 U.S. dollars, which was an increase of almost 73,000 U.S. dollars from the same month in 2021. Nevertheless, house prices varied greatly across different regions in the country.
