
Brazil: land area uncovered by vegetation 2010-2018
In 2018, a total of 3,749 square kilometers were classified as lands without vegetation cover in Brazil. This type of land comprises areas such as rocky outcrops, cliffs, reefs, beaches, dunes, as well as areas presenting gravel accumulation along rivers. The amount of land uncovered by vegetation has been slightly increasing from 3,695 square kilometers registered in 2010.
