This statistic shows the tone of select 2012 U.S. presidential candidates' mentions and discussions on elite news media. Whereas the majority of presidential coverage is fairly neutral, incumbent President Barack Obama's postive and negative coverage are both the lowest and highest of all candidates with 9 and 36 percent respectively.
