U.S. e-book reader owners: reasons for reading in 2011
This statistic illustrates the results of a survey about the basic reasons why U.S. e-book reader owners read in 2011. Americans cite a variety of motives for their reading, especially when it comes to long-form content like books or magazine articles. It is sometimes the case that different people cite different motives. In 2011, 92 percents of e-book reader owners 16 and older say they read at least occasionally for pleasure.
