Wind energy generation in the United Kingdom (UK) 2000-2018

The United Kingdom generated 56.9 terawatt hours worth of electricity and heat through wind power in 2018. Onshore wind farms produced 30.2 terawatt hours of power, which was slightly ahead of the amount made by farms situated offshore. Wind power capacities have steadily increased in the past year, with renewable energies taking up a greater share of the UK's energy mix, following the phaseout of coal.
