The importance of reforms was stressed before the Chinese National People's Congress(NPC). Wen Jiabao called for more democracy. Policy reforms are requires so that economic reform is possible.

The survey was carried out by the Global Poll Center. 1,010 people ages 15 years and older were interviewed in seven cities between 4 and 12 of March.
