This statistic shows survey respondents opinions of the different types of higher education institutions that existed in the U.S. market as of 2011. 75 percent of all respondents had either a very positive or somewhat positive view of public universities in the United States. By comparison, only 50 percent of respondents held a positive view of for-profit universities.
