Most popular gaming genres according to video gamers worldwide 2020
A global gamer survey during the fourth quarter of 2020 found that 55.2 percent of respondents had played an action adventure title such as Assassin's Creed in the past 12 months, making it the most popular gaming genre. In second place were shooters, with 50.5 percent of respondents stating they they had played a shooter in the past year.
