The graph shows the cities in the U.S with the greatest price increase in hotel rates in 2012 compared to 2011. The city with the greatest price increase in 2012 was Glendive, MT. The average daily rate in Glendive increased by 57 percent in 2012.
The Hotel Price Index (HPI) is based on bookings made on hotels.com. The prices shown are those actually paid by the customer. The sample set are about 110,000 properties in more than 18,000 global locations.
