Number of movie tickets sold in Mexico 2010-2022
Throughout 2022, Mexican movie theaters sold 181.8 million tickets, up from 113.6 million in the previous year – an annual increase of 60 percent. Still, the 2022 figure corresponds to less than half of the 350 million movie tickets sold in 2019. Meanwhile, the box office revenue in Mexico more than tripled between 2020 and 2022.
