This statistic shows the results of a 2012 survey among American teenagers aged 12 to 19 regarding the importance of avoiding pregnancy right now. The results were sorted by gender. Some 93 percent of surveyed teenage girls stated avoiding a pregnancy was very important to them; 90 percent of boys agreed.
