Time spent playing video games worldwide by gender 2021

A January 2021 survey of global gaming audiences found that 10.9 percent of female and 11.9 percent of male gamers played more than 20 hours of video games a week. In total, the average time spent on gaming per week amounted to 8.45 hours.

This survey was fielded by a third-party company with consumer panels in China, Germany, India, Indonesia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam. 500 responses were collected from each country for a total of 4,000 global responses.
