Scrap imports in leading markets 2022

In 2022, leading countries imported some 53 million metric tons of steel scrap. This represents an decrease of 11 percent compared to the previous year's value. In the period of consideration, leading markets' scrap imports fluctuated slightly and peaked at around 60 million metric tons in 2018.
