Interest in learning more about functional foods in the U.S. 2011-2013 This statistic presents the results of a consumer survey conducted by the International Food Information Council. U.S. adults were asked how interested they were in learning more about functional/healthy foods. Some 87 percent of respondents indicated that they were 'very interested' or 'somewhat interested' in learning about foods that provide a health benefit beyond basic nutrition.
