During a survey conducted among consumers in the United States in July 2019, 66.7 percent of respondents said video ads that play automatically on websites with sound were the most annoying type of digital ads. This was followed by 55 percent of respondents saying they were most annoyed by video ads that play automatically on websites without sound.
