Industrial additive manufacturing installations globally by region 2014
Between 1988 and 2014, some 38 percent of all additive manufacturing machines around the world were located in the United States. Of all of the machines in use, more commonly referred to as 3D-printers, Japan had approximately 9.7 percent installed during this time period.
