Share of American adults who struggled to buy food by marital status, 2013

This statistic illustrates the results of an interview conducted by the Gallup Organization from January 1 to June 27, 2013. More than 36,000 U.S. adults were polled if they have struggled to afford food in the past 12 months. Some 25 percent of respondents living in a single-adult household with no children indicated to have had difficulties affording food in the past year.
