Proved coal reserves in Australia by type 2010-2020
Australia's coal proved reserves amounted to roughly 150.2 billion metric tons in 2020. During the period in consideration, sub-bituminous and lignite reserves were greater than anthracite and bituminous reserves. Furthermore, coal reserves presented a trend of growth. As of 2020, Australia's sub-bituminous and lignite reserves accounted for around 51 percent from the country's total coal reserves.
