Changes in worldwide vehicle production by region 2016-2021
Motor vehicle production increased in all regions in 2021, except for Europe. The growth rate of motor vehicle production in Europe was negative, with a minus of five percent compared to the previous year. In contrast, the production value of the South American motor vehicle manufacturing industry increased by 18 percent compared to the 2020 level. In 2021, the global production of motor vehicles increased by over one million units compared with 2020.
