Wrestling participation in U.S. high-schools 2010-2022, by gender
The number of girls who participated in high school wrestling increased between 2018/2019 and 2021/2022 by nearly 50 percent. By contrast, the number of boys engaged in this sporting activity went down by 6.3 percent in the same period. In total, there were around 263.5 thousand wrestlers across U.S. high schools.
