Views on the impact of technology on life and society in the U.S. 2013 This graph portrays various views on the impact of technology on life and society in the United States, based on a survey published in 2013. More than 70 percent of those surveyed agreed that technology creates a lazy society. Similarly, 71 percent feel that technology has improved the quality of life. Some 40 percent of the respondents, on the other hand, feel that technology doesn't enhance their social life and well over 20 percent disagree that technologies encourages creativity.
