Leading European banks 2023, by brand value
The United Kingdom (UK) based HSBC topped the list of most valuable banking brands in 2023. HSBC had a total brand value of approximately 19.85 billion U.S dollars as of February 2023. Second placed Santander (Spain) saw their brand valuation increase from 15.42 billion U.S dollars to 16.92 billion U.S dollars between February 2022 and February 2023. A brands value can have a direct correlation between a brands strength and its standing in stock market performance. HSBC not only topped the European banks list in brand value but also in market capitalization.
