Global share of biofuel production 2022, by country
The United States was the largest biofuel producer worldwide in 2022, with more than 38 percent of the global biofuel production. Brazil ranked second, with some 21.4 percent of the world's total production. By comparison, Germany ranked fifth that year, accounting for 3.2 percent of the biofuel production across the globe.
