Dominos in India
Jubilant FoodWorks Limited and its subsidiaries own the franchise rights to Dominos Pizza in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Its presence across 276 cities in the region gives the company leadership in the market. The same company also launched Dunkin’ Donuts in India in 2012. Now, the chain has spread across ten Indian cities. These two chains ensure an almost clear path in the company’s pizza home delivery and all-day food and beverage segments of India’s food service industry.
International brands in the Indian food delivery market
From Dominos to McDonalds, and Burger King to Kentucky Fried Chicken – there was no exception to localizing menus to cater to the target audience in order to achieve a successful business and brand. Most Indians responding to a survey consumed fast food between one and three times a week. This was a significant market, specifically in a growing urban middle-class, where the consuming age groups lie between 16 and 35. Furthermore, an increasing digital population drove the value of online delivery in the country.
