This statistic shows the gender pay gap in the United Kingdom (UK) from April 2006 to April 2019. The 'gender pay gap' is defined as the difference between men’s and women’s hourly earnings (excluding overtime hours and pay) as a percentage of men’s earnings. The gender pay gap in 2006 was 12.8 percent; by 2019 the pay gap was 8.9 percent. the lowest gap of the entire period was reached in 2018 at 8.6 percent.
