Leading alumina producers worldwide 2020
During the 2020 financial year, China-based Chalco was the leading alumina producing company, extracting some 14.5 million metric tons of the metal. It was followed closely by the American Alcoa, which had an output of around 13.5 million metric tons in that same year.
