UK: proportion of police stop and searches resulting in arrests 2018/19 by ethnicity

This statistic shows the proportion of stop and searches carried out by the police in England and Wales which resulted in an arrest in the fiscal year 2018/19, by ethnicity. 50 percent of all stop and searches conducted on people self-defined as 'white' and Asian resulted in an arrest. This was followed by those with 'black or black British' ethnicity, at 19 percent.
