Medical complication related deaths in England & Wales by gender 2009-2019
Data on the number of deaths resulting from complications of medical and surgical care in England and Wales from 2009 to 2019, by gender shows that 2017, 2018, and 2019, the number of deaths experienced a large increase over the number of deaths earlier in the period, amounting to over 600 male deaths and around 500 female deaths of this kind.
