Holidays abroad: UK household spend share by income 2022

The shares of weekly household expenditure on package holidays abroad in the United Kingdom were significantly lower in the 2022 fiscal year compared to 2020 due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Over that period, households in the ninth disposable income decile group recorded one of the highest drops in spending. Between April 2021 and March 2022, those households spent an average of 2.1 percent of their weekly expenditure on overseas package holidays, reporting a decline of 3.6 percentage points from 2020.
