Nestlé: ad spend worldwide 2020-2021

In 2021, the Swiss food and beverage producer Nestlé spent 2.6 billion U.S. dollars on global advertising efforts. This figure did not change compared to the 2020 spending.

Nestlé’s position in the U.S. and worldwide

Nestlé has a wide range of products including bottled water, coffee, baby food, cereal, microwave meals, and even pet food. While the flagship products such as Nescafé, KitKat, Gerber, and Coffee-Mate are widely recognized in and outside the U.S., on a global scale Nestlé’s brand fails to match up, ranking lower than the leading 50 in brand value rankings. However, in terms of promotional spending Nestlé has a fairly strong position among other prominent advertisers, holding its position in the top ten largest advertisers worldwide in 2019, among names such as Unilever and Procter & Gamble. Nestlé is also a prominent advertiser in the United States, with ad expenses reaching 2.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2019.
