Drug-related deaths in Wales in 2012, by age and gender This statistic shows the number of drug-related deaths, as reported to the National Programme on Substance Abuse Deaths (NPSAD) in Wales in 2012, by age and gender. Statistically, males aged between 35 and 44 years were the most likely to have a drug-related death. For females, the age group with the most deaths recorded was 25 to 34 years. In 2012, there were a total of 44 male and 14 female deaths.
