Drug-related deaths (NPSAD) in Wales 2008-2012 This statistic shows the amount of drug-related deaths, as reported to the National Programme on Substance Abuse Deaths (NPSAD) in Wales from 2008 to 2012. There was, over this time period, a net decrease in such deaths. The peak was in 2009 when drug-related deaths spiked to 130. For this five year period, though, this was an exception.
