Recognizability of NASCAR drivers in the U.S. 2020
Bubba Wallace is one of the most successful African American NASCAR drivers in history. He finished 2nd in the 2018 Daytona 500 and he came third in the Brickyard 400 in 2019. He was also highly outspoken about the treatment of African Americans by the police and gave his support to the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. During an October 2020 survey in the United States, 63 percent of respondents stated that they had heard of Bubba Wallace.
