The graph shows data in the penetration of news usage among social network users in the United States as of August 2018, broken down by platform. During the survey, 30 percent of LinkedIn users stated they got news on that site, compared to 73 percent of Reddit users who said the same. Despite Facebook being the most popular social media platform for news among internet users overall, Twitter had more users focused on news, with 71 percent of Twitter users also getting their news there compared to 67 percent of Facebook users.
